I have been involved with physical fitness for most of my life. I ran cross country in high school and, later, began weight training while in college. Both experiences were relatively one-dimensional. While competing in high school, I just focused on running without paying much regard to the benefits of weight training. While lifting weights in college, I was more concerned with the aesthetics, instead of performance.

After joining the Marine Corps, I recognized the importance of a well-rounded approach in order to be prepared for whatever challenge life would throw my way. I also recognized that I had more weaknesses than strengths. I could do 20 pull-ups but could not squat my body weight. I could do a bunch of push-ups but my flexibility and low back strength were lacking. This realization changed the way I was training, further developed my knowledge and passion for fitness and, ultimately, led to me to where I am today.

This well-rounded approach guides the customized personal training programs I create for my clients. My typical clients are seeking guidance on weight loss, muscle growth, nutritional coaching, and improved mobility and coordination.

When I am not training at the studio, I enjoy running along the Beltline, playing with my dog and hiking. I have a weakness for hot wings and IPA’s. Fun fact is that I am a licensed attorney in the state of Georgia and have been on inactive status for the last 2 years, as I pursue my passion for fitness and helping others.
